Today there are so many resources inside and outside the Internet, it becomes much easier and fun to understand the periodic table, and this project in ed.ted.com/periodic-videos is one of them.
There is a table in which each element points to a 5-6 minute video in which its characteristics are explained. You can access a complete lesson on the selected item with more content and experiences.
Remember Spirograph�the drawing toy that let you use rotating discs and templates to make geometric art? We sure do�but with a hint of sadness, because we could rarely keep the discs perfectly stable for a whole drawing. Now Nathan Friend has developed Inspirograph, which re-creates the experience digitally: it�s like Spirograph, with better control (and a whole color picker�s worth of ink colors). And it is a lot of fun. Play with Inspirograph (and don�t miss the gallery of others� creations!).
